Applying for your Chartered credential requires that you have between five and fifteen years of post-graduate engineering experience. To do so, follow the steps detailed here. Stage 2 Competency Standards Assessment Process
Both an offline and online application process is required for chartered. You will need to take an online self assessment and then designate industry reviews from your choosing to provide input on your abilities and skills. As part f the assessments, you must also submit example of the work you have done to backup your application. Then, your abilities are evaluated in relation to technical, managerial, and communication benchmarks established by the industry. An expert interview alongside one of your assessors marks the process’s conclusion.

At the conclusion of the interview, the assessor may inform you of the status of your chartered application. However, following the interview, you should received an email with confirmation through the EA portal. Your formal Chartered certificate will arrive in the mail shortly after if your Chartered application is approved. Post-nominal Associate Degree In Engineering
You will be allowed to add a post nominal to your name once you have met the requirements for a chartered certificate. According to your occupational group, you will receive one of a few things post-nominal:

• Chartered Associate (CEngA)
